Bilingual Spanish-English Christmas song written and recorded by Puerto Rican singer-guitarist José Feliciano for his 1970 Christmas album. It has become one of the most-played holiday songs in the US.
Performance tips
- Keep it breezy and light; the strummed groove does the work, so don't oversing it.
- Get the whole room on the Spanish chorus first, then the English one, since everyone knows both.
- Smile and sway on the repeats and point the mic at the crowd for the last few rounds.
