Echo & the Bunnymen's cover of The Doors' 1967 song, recorded for the soundtrack of the 1987 vampire film The Lost Boys and produced by Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Released as a single in 1988, it reached No. 29 in the UK.
Performance tips
- Croon it cool and moody like Ian McCulloch, with a little more swagger than Morrison.
- Let the brooding verses drift and keep the tempo slow and hypnotic.
- Play up the vampire-movie atmosphere since most of the room knows it from The Lost Boys.
