Quirky folk-pop song from Norma Tanega's 1966 debut album, later the theme of the vampire comedy What We Do in the Shadows (2014 film and 2019 TV series).

Performance tips

• Keep it breezy and deadpan; the cheerful tone against the morbid title is the joke.
• Vampire fans will sing along, so let them.
