Protest song written by Dolores O'Riordan in response to the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, England, which killed two children. Released as a single on 19 September 1994 ahead of the album No Need to Argue; the album version runs 5:06 (single edit 4:11).
Performance tips
- Save your power for the chorus and let the yodel-style vocal breaks crack on purpose, the way Dolores did.
- Keep the verses low, brooding and steady over the heavy guitar so the chorus explodes.
- The crowd will scream the title hook with you, so step back from the mic and let them carry it.
